Joaquim Paulo is a consultant for major labels and directs a number of radio stations in Portugal. He started collecting vinyl at 15, and flies to London, Paris, New York and S�o Paulo to enrich his collection of over 25,000 LPs. He lives and works in Lisbon and dedicates his free time to recovering old and rare recordings.

Julius Wiedemann studied graphic design and marketing, and was an art editor for digital and design magazines in Tokyo. His many TASCHEN titles include Illustration Now!, Logo Design, Jazz Covers and Information Graphics.

I really enjoyed this book. I actually owned a lot of these albums and recognized most of the ones I didn't own. I would've given it 5 stars if it were'nt for two things. The space that was used for three languages limited the information about the artists, and not having one entry by the Dramatics, when lesser known groups and artists were included. Overall this book would make an excellent addition to any soul music lovers book collection.

Takes Me Back To The Day!

I received this book for XMas after seeing it in an issue of Essence magazine last fall. The photos are great, plenty of albums I remember and some artists I hadn't heard of or don't recall who I may check out. I wish there had been more information about some of the artists and their music (some cover photos don't have any essays associated with them) and that for each one the entries weren't repeated in 3 languages - English, and I believe French and Dutch. Otherwise, great photo book!

Great Miscarriage Of Justice

I read this book a few years ago and found it fascinating. Although it is a long book I found it to be easy to read and fairly well written.A young baby goes missing,carried off into the night by a dingo,never to be seen again.The parents are charged with her murder but the evidence is at best,absurd and the attitude of Australia at this time is outrageous! This book is a first hand version of what happened as it is written by the mother accused of killing her baby.She tells this story with sadness at the cicumstances her family found themselves in. A sad tale of a family whose lives are ruined by the verdict decided long before the case was ever brought to trial.

The only problem was...it said it was a paperback book, and it wasn't..it was a old unreturned library book, its huge! not that I have a problem with big books, it did say "paperback" and it was a hard back book, a little big to be carrying around....

Did I read the same Book?

All I can say is...Wow. I know I cannot rely on reviews on Amazon to determine whether or not a kindle book is worth reading or not. The writing in the story was so juvenile and superficial. The characters, especially the "bad guy scenario," were not believable for me. I felt like the story was told like cooking instructions on a packaged frozen dinner. There was no clever prose or witty dialogue. The story was composed with a basic, child-like writing style, and one-dimensional characters. I will not read any more of the Teton trilogy. There was no entertainment value in this book for me. Sorry but in my opinion, Peggy L. Henderson's work needs extraordinary polishing and editing, not worthy of published material.

Terrible ending! Not what is expected from a romance book.

This is a hard review to write because I really did like this book until the last couple of pages. I thought the writing was good and the story was interesting and kept me guessing about what would happen next. The author did a good job of making me care about the characters which is the reason I'm writing my first ever book review on Amazon. ** SPOILER ALERT - I just have to say to the author - What in the world were you thinking when you killed off two of the main characters at the end of this book? In all of the years I have been reading romance books, I have never encountered a more disappointing ending. This is not the HEA I expect when I read a romance book. I will never read another of your books again which is really frustrating for me since I really did like your writing style. Shame on you!!

An Enjoyable Read

I fell in love with books by Peggy Henderson with her Yellowstone series. Her new series is just as enjoyable. I loved Teton Sunrise. The characters and the romance come across as real. The plot had more than one twist that surprised me. The author's description of the countryside surrounding the Tetons was so real I could smell the early morning mountain air. The setting at a time when fur trappers, mountain men and Indians ruled the area made me feel as if I stepped back in time. I enjoyed the story and am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series.

Great textbook

Feldman did a great job simplifying terms and theories into this textbook. Highly recommend and enjoyed it. The only thing i didnt like was the way it was manufactured. Glue started coming off and some pages came loose. Could have been my book being defective
